Mom's Smashed Potatoes

Servings Per Recipe: 6 servings

2  to 3 tablespoons  butter (to taste) 
3  cups  boiling water 
1    Homemade Gourmet® Mom's Smashed Potatoes Mix 
1/2  to 3/4 cup  sour cream (optional /to taste) 

1. In a serving bowl, combine mix and boiling water; stir vigorously until mixture is smooth.

2. Add butter and sour cream, if desired, and stir until butter is melted and all ingredients are well blended. If a creamier consistency is desired, add up to 1/2 cup milk at this time.

3. Serve warm.

Option: Make it a loaded mashed potato by adding any or all of the following: shredded cheddar cheese, bacon crumbles, and chives.
